Hoisin sauce originally comes from China. Hoisin literally means seafood. The traditional sauce itself contains no seafood at all but is made from soybeans, rice vinegar, chillies, garlic, sugar and herbs. The slightly sweet and spicy Flying Goose Hoisin Sauce is used both for the famous Chinese dish Peking duck as well as for various grilled dishes, stews and wok dishes. In Vietnam Hoisin sauce is served as a condiment with soups, called "pho". Do try Flying Goose Hoisin also as a dip for vegetables, fish or meat!
